Think of radar as a compass overlay, not a second wallhack. It answers direction and density while boxes answer precision and range. Together they cover the full awareness loop; duplicated they create the same information twice with twice the clutter.

Radar Styles — Circle, Square, and Edge Anchors

Most menus offer circular or square minimap-style radar with configurable screen position.

Circular radar — intuitive for compass reads; best for solo ranked players learning flank timing.

Square radar — maps cleanly to rectangular HUD corners; popular with stream layouts.

Edge-anchored vs corner-anchored — place radar where your eyes already flick during fights. Top-left near kill feed, or bottom-right near ability bar — pick one and stay consistent for muscle memory.

  1. Boxes for aim and commit decisions — radar tells you to rotate; boxes tell you where to pre-aim
  2. Do not render the same target twice at max emphasis — if a box is on screen, radar blip can be subtle
  3. Cap box distance lower than radar range — radar sees the flank coming; boxes confirm when you can fight
  4. Disable radar during 1v1 duels you already committed to — optional key toggle reduces distraction

Third-Party Reads — Radar’s Best Use Case
